Why Choose Me?
Music and drumming has been my life long passion and I have been learning and playing for over twenty years. I bring this joy and enthusiasm to all my lessons and love to inspire my students, which not only improves their learning but helps in many other aspects of life from better focus and memory to problem solving. I teach many genres including Rock, Pop, Jazz, Blues, World and more. I will also help you to pass your music grades if this is something you are interested in.
Areas of Study
All lessons can be adapted to focus more on different areas to suit each student.
Performance
The main reason everyone starts learning to play the drums is to perform, the majority of my lessons will be focused on honing your creativity, sound and style when performing in all genres. This will also include working on how to be part of an ensemble.
Reading and writing
To be able to read and write drum notation is an extremely useful skill which will be covered during my lessons.
Grades
I can teach you how to go through and pass your musical grades with either Rockschool or Trinity College grading bodies.
Practice and warm up technique
Practicing effectively can vastly improve your playing to minimise on wasted time. We also learn how to correctly warm up so as to avoid injury.
